John L. Earle

Founding member

John is a Research Associate in Zoology at the Bishop Museum in Honolulu. A scuba diver since 1957, he has participated in numerous ichthyological expeditions over the last three decades, and been author and co-author of many scientific papers. Since 1994 he has been a rebreather diver, accompanying Dr. Richard Pyle on pioneering deep reef explorations. John received his bachelors degree with honors from Princeton University, served as a U.S. Navy pilot during the Viet Nam war, and is now retired from an airline career.
